I’m not the only one with raised eyebrows when it comes to this new, alarming technology.
The whole concept of the sex robot is raising ethical, legal, and moral questions when it comes to everything from consent to human psychology.
As robots become an ever increasing part of our daily lives, humans could soon find love with the machines, according to a new report.
The report suggests that over a quarter of 18-34 year-olds will feel it's normal to form friendships and even romantic relationships with robots in the future instead of humans.
Subsequently, there is the growing fear that eventually men will prefer to utilise robots for sexual gratification, thus removing the need for intimacy with real women.
“It’s possible to develop an emotional connection to a life-like doll, and it’s our goal to take that connection to a higher level using user-customizable artificial intelligence to create unique personalities,” reads the Realbotix website. Technology will be increasingly integrated into most facets of our lives moving forward, but this just takes it too far.The problem is there is nothing to be gained in forming a relationship with an artificial personality. Some might suggest it would be like dating yourself. And it seems that men are more likely to embrace the bots, with the report indicating that males are three times more likely to form a relationship with a robot than women. The report was created by Paris-based Havas, and examined the future of artificial intelligence, and people's attitudes to the future of technology.

The fusion of tech and dating is already bad enough in the disappearance of old-fashioned, organic romanc – this is next-level discouraging when it comes to the disheartening future of love and intimacy.
